+ This is for you if

  • You have current material you need coached: an audition, a rehearsal problem, a self-tape
  • You want a live, demanding room without committing to a full cohort
  • You are a working actor or serious trainee with something specific to work on right now

× This is not for you if

  • You do not have current material prepared and ready to perform
  • You are looking for a structured step-by-step course (that is what the cohort intensives are for)
  • You want an introduction to Shakespeare technique (start with the library)

What happens in a session

Each clinic is two hours on Zoom. You bring a piece of material you are actively working on. Emily coaches it live in front of the group. Everyone works; everyone watches. The room is small enough for real attention and large enough for useful pressure.

There is no set syllabus. The material changes every month because the actors change every month. What stays constant is the method: Emily works your text the same way she works in rehearsal rooms and private sessions.

A typical session

  • Brief check-in: what you are working on and what you need
  • First run of your material in front of the group
  • Emily coaches the piece live: text, action, choices, delivery
  • Second run with adjustments
  • Group watches and learns from each other's work

Built around the Emily Jenkins Method

The clinic uses the same approach Emily applies in her cohorts, her 1:1 coaching, and her work at the Globe: a modern, actor-first way of working with Shakespeare that makes the text playable, specific, and alive in the room. The format is different. The method is the same.

Common questions

Can I come every month?

Yes. Many actors attend regularly. There is no limit on how often you can come, as long as you have material to work on.

Do I need to be in a cohort to attend?

No. The clinic is independent of the cohort programmes. You can attend the clinic without having done a cohort, and vice versa.

What should I bring?

A piece of material you are actively working on: an audition speech, a monologue for a casting, a scene you are rehearsing, or a self-tape you want to sharpen. The material should be prepared enough to perform, not a first read.

How far in advance do I need to book?

Book as soon as the date is announced. Places are limited and fill on a first-come basis. Booking window to be confirmed by Emily

Ready to book?

Bring your material. Emily will coach it. No application, no commitment beyond the session.
